All-America Rose Selections (AARS)

A non-profit association of rose growers and introducers dedicated to the introduction and promotion of exceptional roses. They operate a nationwide network of test gardens to evaluate roses on desirable characteristics in a garden rose and features a list of AARS-award winning roses, with selected photos, dating from 1940. The site provides a searchable database of AARS-approved public rose gardens, information about rose use and landscape design, gardening tips, and temperature zone maps.

Kubota Garden

Information about this public garden owned by the City of Seattle and maintained by the Department of Parks & Recreation and founded in 1927 by Fujitaro Kubota, a gardener, who wanted to display the beauty of the Northwest in a Japanese manner and was soon designing and installing gardens throughout the Seattle area. The site includes a brief garden history, a garden map, and photos of the garden.
