All-America Rose Selections (AARS)

A non-profit association of rose growers and introducers dedicated to the introduction and promotion of exceptional roses. They operate a nationwide network of test gardens to evaluate roses on desirable characteristics in a garden rose and features a list of AARS-award winning roses, with selected photos, dating from 1940. Kubota Garden

Information about this public garden owned by the City of Seattle and maintained by the Department of Parks & Recreation and founded in 1927 by Fujitaro Kubota, a gardener, who wanted to display the beauty of the Northwest in a Japanese manner and was soon designing and installing gardens throughout the Seattle area. The site includes a brief garden history, a garden map, and photos of the garden.
